At the completion of your Apprenticeship you will be given an industry qualification that is recognized throughout Australia, both inside and outside the industry as well. Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics and Engineers can become Aeronautical Engineers if they want to tackle more university-style study. You can also go to university, graduate as a professional engineer and then specialize.

Pay rates for trainees in Aviation are determined by Federal and State Awards. Your pay rate will be dependent upon the enterprise activity of your potential employer and you will need to discuss wage rates with them.
